NYC transportation funds from the the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

On March 30, Mayor Bloomberg announced that $261 million in new federal money will fund projects throughout all five boroughs, and create or preserve approximately 32,000 jobs.
The Bloomberg administration is using the stimulus funding to support key economic development initiatives across the city, supplementing the City's Capital Plan.

The total value of the transportation projects benefiting from stimulus funding is $1.1 billion. Construction will begin on stimulus funded projects as early as this spring. Press release at www.nyc.gov
