For Climate Week NYC (September 21-25), which was marked by events showing support for the United Nations September 22 Summit Meeting on Climate Change, the Citizens Network, Nancy Owens Studio, Green Map System and other collaborating partners prepared an exhibit at the Mercy Corps' Action Center to End World Hunger in Battery Park City.

CitNet has collaborated with a number of partners for Climate Week NYC to present a panel discussion and exhibit on climate change risks and responses in New York and around the world. 

 

New York State draft Energy Plan presented

Governor Paterson announced that the New York State Energy Planning Board has prepared a comprehensive draft State Energy Plan, the first step in redefining how the State approaches and satisfies its energy needs.

Governor Paterson set goal to reduce NY State greenhouse gas emissions

Governor Paterson signed E xecutive Order No. 24 setting a goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in New York State by 80 percent below the levels emitted in 1990 by the year 2050.
